Thank You, God!

Miracles do happen! Pumasa ang lola niyo sa compre exam! Yehey! If I still didn't have a thesis to do, graduating na dapat ako ngayon! Hehehe. Somebody out there please convince me to do the thesis pa! Hehehe!

Above is a picture of the formal congratulatory letter from the grad studies department. Beside it is the non-alcoholic apple cider I plan to drink. Nakahanda na sana ang vodka / tequila / red wine na iinumin ko mag-isa kung bumagsak ako. Hehehe! No need to get drunk now!

moo moo moo moo moo

We had a post-Caylabne dinner last Friday night at Trinoma. The QC girls brought us Pasig girls to a restaurant that definitely cannot be found in Ortigas (that was our requirement) -- Five Cows. I asked them bakit yun ang pangalan ng resto. Huangcholi suggested baka kasi lima kaming kakain (her cousin was with us). Everyone gasped and laughed, I couldn't help but screech "You mean we are the cows???"

Loved the get-up of the servers. Check out that hat! EeYaKin said the resto initially gave away the hats in an introductory promo. Sayang we missed that!

Moo-stly meat ba? Karamihan meat ang main dish nila sa menu. But hindi naman lahat beef. The picture on the left is lamb kebab while the one on the right is grilled chicken in creamy pesto sauce.

Moo-kha bang masarap? Hindi lang mukha, talagang masarap. The resto's specialty is said to be their ice cream desserts.

rain or shine... but mostly rain

Check! One of the items in our summer checklist is to get a chance to visit the beach. Kaya kahit Signal #1, my family, friends and I went to the very edge of Cavite!

View from the top. The sea looked calm from up here.

Wish ko lang. Guess what we were wishing for?

Kain muna. The sea looked so scary kaya we decided to do first what we do best -- eat.

Calm waters or violent seas? Guess which one we chose.

RING a bell? Crazy behavior for someone my age. But I couldn't resist. Hehehe.

Dream on. Haaay, libre ang mangarap. The white beachfront villas were used in several local films years ago. The colorful ones remind me of a GK Vill na super high-end. Really really pretty.

Nice digs. We thanked our lucky stars that we got the amazing villa for a minimal fee, courtesy of Tita Jessie.

Huli ka! Bloggers aim... fire!

At dusk. Couldn't resist taking a picture of the pool right outside our door.

So grill me. Gladys prepared teriyaki beef, chicken, pork. Plus carrots and zucchini marinated in olive oil and thyme. And then there's corn, of course. Yummy.

Melrose Place. Each villa cluster has its own pool. Ang sosyal.

Another kind of swimming. Ang paglangoy indoors. Natapos ang tournament around 2 a.m. na.

End of the road. Sa dulo ng mga villas, there's a bridge -- a shortcut papunta sa beach area. Nice. And convenient.

Fresh water, meet saltwater. Pag nasa tulay ka na, a look at your right shows the freshwater coming from the mountains (picture on the left). A look at your left naman shows where the river meets the sea (picture on the right). Ang cool, noh?

Here comes the sun... not really. We thought hindi na lalabas ang araw kaya most of us didn't put on any sunblock. Pero nag-hello ang sun for about 20 minutes! Namula tuloy kami.

Kunwari nasa ibang bansa. Loved the look of the villas. Picture-taking galore before heading home.

Authentic Italian Pizza. Baked from a stone oven. So yummy EeYaKin brought two big ones back to Manila!
