Fiesta sa Ciudad

Piesta na naman! The drums and bugle of some nearby school, plus the hala-bira of the ati-atihan woke us all up at the crack of dawn! But it wasn't enough to make me get up. Hehehe. Fiesta at home is always about the food, anyway.

Mongolian bbq, Bautista-style. This was the first time Gladys made this. Para maiba from the usual pasta, beef and chicken dishes she always makes.

Pasta ni Sista. My Seoul sister made this pasta-with-no-name.

To go. Yummy din yung Chinese kikiam, pork sisig, barbecue and baby backribs na binili lang from Tiendesitas and SM-Pasig.

Mga suki. Mom specifically asked me to invite our suking Fiesta attendees, Huangcholi and Chetski. Kaya yan, present ang dalawa!

Same time, next year. Lola's here! Mom made sure na may handa kami coz Lola Auntie made a rare request to visit our house. Last time Lola felt well enough to visit was during last year's fiesta.

A rare event. Chetski had time to read bestfriend Balb's log -- because I showed it to her. Hehehe.

Paging Dr. Belo. Cousin Pico requested that I take a picture of him -- pimply-face and all. Para daw makita ng wife niya (who's currently working in Singapore) na his face broke out kasi he misses her. I forgot to tell him that I don't think his wife knows about my blog. Oh well. :-D

When Toot-toot ate pop-pop. Thank God for cute nephew Hans a.k.a. Toot-toot (there's a funny story behind the nickname) for the nonstop entertainment.

Rock Daddy Rock. Playing with his son's schoolbag (shaped like a guitar), hindi naman halata that Cousin Coco misses his rocker days.

Proud to be Ka-pasig. Busy with renovating the old apartments in De Castro, Tito Redie and Tita Dolly managed to drop by for dinner and a lot of kuwentuhan.

Playing catch-up.

McGyver-like or common-sense lang?

Someone sent me a video with the title "How to Close a Bag of Chips Without Using a Clipbag." After watching it twice, my sister and I tried doing it, and it works!

We are that bored.

And thanks Balb, for all your support. We couldn't have done it without you.

Couldn't sleep last night coz of the wind. The wind sounded like a 747 was landing on our rooftop! 48 hours of nonstop rain made water leak in our rooms -- again. At ang pinakabagong development -- loud, staccato noises in our walk-in closet this afternoon was actually caused pala by the popping up of several tiles on the floor! Aaaargh! Si Pareng Frank talaga!

Mag-champorado na lang muna tayo.

Happy birthday, Pepe!

HIStory. In commemoration of Rizal's birthday, I dug up some pictures I took during an "Amazing Race"-type of class activity we had in Intramuros last year.

Housecall. Fort Santiago keeps some of Rizal's personal stuff.

Small bed and clothes. Physically, he was a small guy. In everything else that mattered, he was HUGE.

Touch Me Not. Who hasn't read this book?

magastos man manood sa sinehan

Just a few thoughts on the four movies I have seen this summer...

My favorite druggie made Iron Man fun to watch! Too bad I missed the extra scene after the closing credits. We had to pee.

Indy 4 was just okay. Got a bit bored in the middle. Lack of thrills and humor, I guess. Raiders and the Holy Grail are still tops in my book.

Teary-eyed ako kay Charlotte in one scene in the SATC movie, can you believe it? I realized how much I miss the show... and all the amazing outfits.

The Narnia sequel is better than the first! Ben Barnes really looks good in a costume. Remember him in Stardust?

new favorite

I. Love. This. Show.

and here we go

Sweat and tears. I joined the girls sa pag-enroll for comm300 (the thesis subject) last Tuesday. Even though I was still undecided, nakipila pa rin ako at nagpalipat-lipat ng office and building with the girls to correct a registration mistake we all did online.

Gobble, gobble. This is the new admissions building where we all feed UP our precious money (a.k.a. tuition fee). The girls were laughing at me coz I decided not to pay the fee that day (so I can have more time to think whether I really want to do the thesis or not). Hehehe. Delaying tactic ko lang yun.

Good food. After sweating our butts off all morning, Jhen treated us to lunch at the Alumni Cafe and Resto. This is the lesser known alumni place located beside Bahay ng Alumni (which houses the popular Choco Kiss). Super sarap din ng food, and slightly cheaper than C.K.
