This film is probably one of the best Asian rom-coms ever. Great cinematography, catchy soundtrack, winning performances, quirky and witty script. It was the first ever Korean film I've seen. Even those at rottentomatoes loved it. A chick flick that even straight men would like. Kaso...
... the US version was released in local theaters today. Haaaay, like most adaptations of brilliant Asian films, this one also tried its best to adjust important scenes para mas ma-gets ng Westerners. Although I'm sure that those who haven't seen the original would like this version, someone who loves the Korean would be disappointed upon seeing this one. Good try though. Parang may kulang lang talaga. And to think this version was directed by the same person who directed the much acclaimed French flick, Love Me If You Dare (starring a young Marion Cotillard).
